Instructions
  1. Start by cutting the papaya in half.
  2. Scoop out the seeds.
  3. Rinse the seeds in a mesh strainer to remove most of the membrane.
  4. Heat up a dry skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Add the papaya seeds and toast, stirring often, until they shrivel and turn black. They may start to pop.
  6. Remove the seeds to a plate and let cool completely.
  7. Grind in a pepper grinder and use like regular pepper.
