I’m so honored to be guest posting this delicious paleo breakfast bars recipe for Trisha on her amazing blog, Eat Your Beets! Go check it out and don’t forget to follow her; she’s awesome!
Fruit-filled bars bring back such fond memories for me. We kids used to have sleepovers at our grandparent’s on a pretty regular basis. Wednesday was grocery shopping day, and we kids loved to tag along because we got to spend time with Grandma and sometimes we would get one of those fruit filled Nutrigrain bars. They were delicious, and such a treat for us because our mother never bought them.
We stayed with our grandparents for a few months while finishing our house, and our snack of choice was usually fig newton bars. Those things were so delicious.
I’ve been craving fig bars lately, but I didn’t have any figs. So I made these delicious bars and filled them with raspberry preserves instead. The resulting paleo breakfast bars recipe is a cross between a Nutrigrain bar and a fig newton, and quite delicious at that!

Hi there,
I found the recipe on Eat Your beets but since I probably can’t buy them, do you have a recipe for Raspberry preserves?
Thanks!
Janae

I don’t have a recipe of my own, but this recipe looks promising: https://iquitsugar.com/recipe/raspberry-chia-jam/
Use honey or maple syrup instead of the rice malt syrup. 🙂
